After discovering I had Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, primarily due to marathon running and low body fat, my husband and I ended up undergoing IVF to have our son in 2018. You can read more about my IVF story here.
The lifestyle changes I made to have a healthy pregnancy, and recover a healthy cycle postpartum, were not entirely easy to do. There was a lot of information gathering, and emotional support I sought out, and I immediately wanted to be that resource and support for other women.

I live in Asheville, NC with my husband, Brett, our son, Owen, and dog, Barksdale. After a decade in Chicago, we absolutely LOVE life here in Asheville!
Brett and I met in college in 2004, got married in 2013, and had O in 2018. Our time in Chicago is when I fell in love with running, and took my enjoyment of a great workout to the next level by becoming an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, and shortly after that, an ACE Certified Health Coach, and RRCA Running Coach.
I love to cook deliciously healthy meals, so check out my Pinterest board Healthy Recipe Box for my favorites! Sunshine is a vital part of my happiness, so most weekends you can find our whole family enjoying a hike, followed by a pit stop at one of Asheville’s many breweries.
When I’m not reading Pout Pout Fish or building towers with Owen, I’m running networking meetings of the local chapter of Women Belong, or working out with my mama tribe at a Fit4Mom Asheville class. Fit4Mom Asheville has blended into my work life, as I instruct their prenatal Fit4Baby classes!
