I was about 19 when I first started running, and remember having a goal of 1 mile. I could do it, but it was taxing. I walked 2 blocks of my first 5K with my dad and I was dragging behind in the small race enough to get lost. That was nearly 10 years ago. I ran my 7th marathon in January of 2016 and have 17 half-marathons under my belt. Needless to say, running has changed me in amazing ways both physically and mentally!
Running taught me how to love exercise and use it to make my life better. It taught me to view food as fuel and not the enemy like many women are tricked to think. It made me want to be stronger, to eat healthier and introduced me to some wonderful people and experiences.
I love it so much I got certified as a Running Coach through the Road Runner Club of America (RRCA) coaching program, and now I can help you either start running, stay consistent, or train for your goal race.
